Newton Animal Emergency Shelters:
In the event of a disaster situation in the City of Newton, the Emergency Alert System will notify you as to which animal emergency facilities are open and their contact information.
During an emergency, All pet animals in need of temporary sheltering and/or medical care should be brought to the Crystal Lake Bathhouse.
All stray animals should be brought to the Albemarle Field House.
If the Newton North High School human shelter is opened, special needs animals (such as those requiring frequent medications or insulin injections) will be allowed to remain with their owners at this site.
